Spotted Gum Decking
Botanical name: Corymbia maculata. A large Australian hardwood,
growing from Victoria-New South Wales border to Maryborough district
in Queensland. Spotted Gum has a durability class 1 (above Ground),
and is termite resistant.
The grain of spotted gum is wavy and varies with ribbon like fiddleback figure, texture moderately coarse, with a greasy feel.
The variation in colour, grain and texture make spotted gum decking attractive and natural in appearance.
Spotted Gum Decking Colour
The colour can vary from pale brown to dark brown with some reddish
tinges and some small presence of creamy areas. All which can occur in a single decking board.
